Hey Rams, it’s time to get involved in a club. You might not think it’s for you, but we’re sure you‘ll find something that sparks your interest. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to decide and then attend a meeting.

Clubs are a great way to meet people with similar interests, develop social skills, give service, develop character, and have some fun!

Here are three clubs to consider if you haven’t already found a co- or extracurricular program  in which to participate. And if you manage your time well, why not get involved in a few?

Book and Media Club

If you like reading then we want you! The Book and Media Club meets in the library on the east campus on Mondays after school. We encourage you to attend all of our club meetings. It’s okay if you’ve not read the book all the way through either. We can use your good ideas as discussion points. When you attend, you’ll also get a say in which novels we read. We will do fun activities and promote reading in these areas: book trailers, book skits, discussion parties, book sales, author visits, club blog, and more. We welcome all interested MHS students. Just for your information, the library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It is closed on Wednesdays.

Art Club

Are you an artist? Do you appreciate art? Do you like galleries or contemporary creative displays? Our art club welcomes anyone who is interested in joining. Everyone has something unique to contribute.

Spanish Club

¡Hola estudiantes! Come join the adventure of Spanish Club. We’ll speak in Spanish to better our fluency, learn about the Latin fine arts, delve into the amazing ancient history of our South and Central American neighbors, and best of all—have fun! See you there! ¡Arriba!

Asian Pacific Association (APA)

APA sponsors activities and fundraisers to promote Asian Pacific cultures. The association has performed community service at different activities in the community and attended/celebrated Asian and/or Pacific cultural events. Although APA is a perfect environment for Asian-Pacific-American students who treasure their ancestors cultures, beliefs and values. Any student may join and are encouraged to be active.
